Services
Electrical work for modern homes and businesses: EV charging, distribution and consumer units, surge protection, energy-efficient lighting, and the inspection and testing that keeps an installation safe. All work is tested and certified to BS 7671, the IET Wiring Regulations.
EV charger installation
A dedicated home charger is the safest and most practical way to charge an electric vehicle. Before anything is fitted, the incoming supply and consumer unit are assessed to confirm they can carry the additional load.
Each installation includes a dedicated circuit with the correct protection, a charger mounted in a practical position close to the parking space, and full testing and certification on completion.
Guide price £650–£850.

Distribution and consumer units, surge protection
The consumer unit, or distribution board in larger premises, protects every circuit in the property. Older fuse boxes, and boards without RCD protection, fall short of current standards. A modern unit with RCD and surge protection guards against electric shock, fire and damage from voltage spikes.
An upgrade includes the new board, testing of every circuit, clear labelling and an Electrical Installation Certificate.
Guide price £650–£850.

EICRs, inspection and testing
An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) assesses the safety of the existing wiring and identifies anything damaged, deteriorating or no longer up to current standards. Landlords in England must hold a valid EICR for rented homes, and one is well worth having when buying or selling a property.
Inspections are carried out by Callum, who holds the City & Guilds 2391 in inspection and testing. Each one is followed by a written report with any defects clearly coded.
Guide price £140–£180 per property.
Rewires
Ageing cables, outdated accessories and a lack of modern protection are the usual reasons for a rewire, and the work is often best carried out alongside a renovation or extension.
Full and partial rewires are available for houses and flats. Each one begins with a site visit and a clear quotation, and finishes with testing and an Electrical Installation Certificate.

LED lighting
LED lighting uses a fraction of the energy of older fittings and lasts considerably longer. Typical work includes downlights, under-cabinet and feature lighting, LED mirrors, and outdoor and security lighting.

Commercial and industrial
Lighting, power and distribution for offices, shops, workshops and industrial units, including LED panel upgrades and new circuits for machinery.
Previous commercial work includes office lighting, factory installations and a hotel atrium. Every job is priced following a site visit.
